Bishop Charles & Lady Mae Blake 50th Pastoral Anniversary January 2019

Bishop and Lady Mae’s 50th Pastoral Anniversary started 2019- 1/13/19. A list of renowned speakers are slated to speak throughout the month of January in Los Angeles, California.

Bishop Blake is a pillar in Los Angeles and the world. His secret weapon, Lady Mae is a Class Act.

Asst. Pastor Charles E. Blake and wife DeAndra Blake, with their two sons were in attendance. Also in attendance were Elder Lawrence Champion Blake (Young adult Pastor) and wife Jeanine Blake, and their three children, Martin Ludlow (President: with wife Kimberly Blake – Ludlow 2 of their six kids were present, to support the kick off celebration along with Bishop Ron Gibson, Bishop Ron Hill, Bishop Perry, Tatiana Stovall, Pastor Jerry and Francis Harris.

Bishop James Louis Felton, Pastor of MT. Airy Church of God in Christ, located in Philadelphia, ( was accompanied by his wife Priscilla Felton, granddaughter ( who sung Amazing Grace), and got the people standing on their feet, before the speaker got up. He had other guess of his, who flew in to hear this dynamic speaker, and Man of God.

“Maestro” Derrick Jackson, world renowned organist and his lovely wife Sharon Jackson, (Church of God in Christ Headquarters Sr. Executive Administrative Assistant, to Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, from Memphis TN.), and close friends to the Blake family, flew in to be part of the celebration.

His Sermon text came from, Psa. 68:18,19, and Psa. 116:1-4, 12-14.

His subject was, “The Kingdom Benefits of Proactive Praise”.

One of many points he made was, we aught to be proactive in our praise. And we should praise God first and not wait till he blesses us.

If we are proactive you will praise God in advance, and the blessing will seek you out.

He said when we praise God, you shift your atmosphere. Also proactive praise is believing God has already worked it out.

Music selections were Directed and performed by world renowned, DR. Judith Christi McAllister, Chas Sheppard, David Daughtry, and the West Angeles Choir. Robin Dean and praise dancers motivated the atmosphere with praise.
