WITH WINNERS IN OVER 40 CATEGORIES FROM MUSIC AND TELEVISION TO LITERATURE AND FILM

Awards Dinner Ended wtih a Special Performance by Ledisi

LOS ANGELES (March 30, 2019) – Winners in over forty categories for the 50 NAACP Image Awards were announced last night during a special non-televised awards dinner at The Beverly Hilton hosted by Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love and Tamera Mowry Housley ofThe Real, and livestreamed via Facebook.  The co-hosts, who doubled as nominees for the evening, took home the award in the Outstanding Talk Series category, for their show The Real, their second win for the show.  Presenters for the star-studded event included ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith; actor Marcus Scribner (Blackish); rapper Sage the Gemini; actor Trevor Jackson (Grownish); chef and author, Carla Hall, and actor Roger Guenveur Smith among others.  The evening wrapped with a special surprise performance by singer/songwriter, Ledisi.
