West Angeles Community Development Corporation had their 25th Unity Awards Gala Anniversary 2-22-19.

The event took place at the Intercontinental Hotel downtown Los Angeles. It was presented by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake and Executive Dr. Belinda Allen.

The Board Chairman is Byron K. Reed. The Co-Chair of the event was Viola Solomon.

The Master of Ceremonies was Chris Schauble, of KTLA 5. The Mistress of Ceremonies was Pat Prescott, from 94.7 The Wave.

The Honorees were, BBVA Compass Bank, Outstanding Corporate Partner Of The Year, City National Bank, Outstanding Community Business Partner Of The Year, Bill Witte & Related California received The Outstanding Community Partner Of The Year Award, U. S. Bank received the Outstanding Corporate Citizen Of The Year Award, CiT Bank received The Excellent Award, Norm Nixon & Debbie Allen received The Family Of The Year.

Special Remarks were given by DR. Lula Ballton, CEO Emeritus. Live entertainment was by Don Bell and Musical Selection by David Daughtry.

Celebrities in attendance were, Judge Mablean Ephriam, ( Board Member), Janet DuBois, Norm Nixon, Obba Babatunde, Kiki Shepard, Jan Perry, Wendy Robinson, Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, and more.
